Consultant for the TCFD Secretariat

Jeff Stehm is a consultant for the TCFD Secretariat. He has served on the Secretariat for the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) since 2015. His primary focus within the Secretariat has been the use of scenario analysis and climate-related metrics in the context of the TCFD recommendations.

Jeff was previously a Director at the regulatory and risk management consulting firm Promontory Financial Group. Before joining Promontory, Jeff worked for 30 years at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System in Washington, D.C. From 2010-2014, he was a Senior Associate Director with responsibility for the Financial Market Infrastructure, Financial Risk Management, and Quantitative Risk Analysis programs. From 1995-2010, he held successive officer and manager positions in various payment policy functions. He began his career at the Federal Reserve in 1983. He served as a Presidential Management Intern (currently the Presidential Management Fellows) at the U.S. Department of the Treasury from 1982-1983.

Jeff has a Master of Science in Environmental Sciences and Policy from Johns Hopkins University, a Master of Public Administration from Iowa State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Forestry from Iowa State University.
